Rooted in his Native Alaskan heritage through his grandmother’s stories of the Pribilof Islands, Eric Williams brings a profound understanding of the connection between people and place to his work. His early experiences – from gardening on his family’s 360-acre property to working as a carpenter through college – shaped his practical approach to landscape architecture and his commitment to constructible design.
With over 25 years in landscape design and construction, Eric has developed expertise across every facet of the profession. His journey from hands-on construction to design work at both boutique and large corporate firms has honed his ability to create thoughtful, enduring outdoor spaces. As Managing Partner at Lyon Landscape Architects, he leads projects for municipalities, tribes, and public entities with an unwavering focus on practical harmony and community value.
Eric’s design philosophy reflects Lyon’s core values – balancing creative vision with real-world functionality, prioritizing long-term value, and fostering stronger communities through intentional design. Beyond the office, he channels his love for craftsmanship into woodworking projects and enjoys exploring new destinations with his wife.
