Su is a landscape architect whose work spans master planning, urban design, and site-specific design for residential, commercial, and public projects. Her design philosophy emphasizes collaboration, clarity, and storytelling. She is skilled at creating compelling graphics and visual narratives that communicate designs in a clear, intentional, and audience-focused manner.
Su has practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area, New Orleans, Shanghai, and Southeast China; experiences that continue to inform her perspective on culture, resilience, and place-making. Growing up in Xiamen, a major coastal city in China, she developed a fascination with how humans and the environment shape one another’s transformation. Since 2017, she has worked in Western Washington, where her experience with numerous local projects has sharpened her knowledge of technical design, scope and fee development, and interdisciplinary teamwork. These experiences have reinforced her belief that high-quality outdoor spaces can strengthen communities and foster meaningful, long-lasting connections.
Beyond practice, Su contributes to the profession through civic service and leadership. She is the Treasurer of the Washington Chapter of ASLA and a member of the WiLA PPN Leadership Team, where she helps support women in landscape architecture. She also served on the City of Redmond Design Review Board, which allowed her to review a wide range of projects and bring a landscape architect’s voice to the city’s growth and development.
Outside of work, Su enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing in the Pacific Northwest, as well as creating ceramic vessels at a local art center.
